Today was a good day. Echocardiogram went well. Turned ECMO down low during echo to check out heart function, and he did great. Sats were low 80s, so obviously his lungs still need ECMO for a few more days. Lungs sound good. Another bronch tomorrow or Friday to check inflammation and remove more gunk. Bumping vent settings up and letting his lungs work more little by little. Should start weaning off ECMO in 2-3 days.
