Time to bring in the newborn sized clothes! This little guy is putting on weight so well they've changed his schedule. He now gets woken up to eat every 4 hours instead of 3. So he's getting 65 mLs at each feeding. His milk has been getting 24 calorie fortifier added to it for weeks now to help bulk him up. He doesn't need anymore bulking so they are starting to reduce that. Now he gets 22 cal fortifier. (That's 22 calories added per ounce of milk.) I was told that this morning during rounds the doctor and nurses were joking that he's going to need a baby bra soon if they kept giving him 24 cal. Hopefully we can have him on just straight breast milk soon and he'll continue gaining. I think getting rid of the fortifier may help him be a more predictable pooper too! ;p
