Another good day. Justice has been taken off the fentanyl drip that was keeping him sedated. If he gets too active or agitated they will give him some, but he's not on it constantly anymore.
They are trying to wean him off the dopamine for his blood pressure. It's a slow process.
His vent settings are getting lower and lower. I noticed when we got over there this evening that the vent is "breathing" fewer times per minute for him now. Next step is to lower the pressure of the vent and see if his lungs will stay open.
He was 2 lbs 4 oz, when he got weighed tonight. Up one ounce from last night. His nurse says to expect his weight to go up and down for a while. If that's the only up and down we have to deal with right now. I'll take it.
As I mentioned earlier today, he's a little burrito baby. But he likes to try to break out of his wrap. He likes sleeping with his hand over his face, so every time you turned around tonight, he had gotten a hand out of his blanket and it was covering his eyes and nose. Couldn't get a picture of that, it was too dark.
