The girls at the zoo entrance in front of the Naked Mole Rats sign, the newest exhibit at the zoo. We got the picture and did not make it to the actual exhibit. Maybe next time.

Their favorite part of the zoo, feeding the giraffes.

While everyone else was trying to feed the other baby giraffe, Dakota was quietly feeding this one.

Meercat!

Petting a baby wallaby.

Albino wallaby.

Budgie Buddies exhibit. The birds must have been full because they weren't interested in eating. This
cockatiel was perched on a lady's head, and she was so kind to let the girls feed him.

Her hair was full of seed when he was done eating.

Big wallabies.

The other favorite part of the zoo, the merry-go-round.

Walking with a friend.

Birthday crowns!

Ice cream cake from
Coldstone. Red velvet cake with cake batter ice cream. Cake batter ice cream is too sweet for me, and I like sweet. But the girls enjoyed it.

Incidentally, those are the same candles we've used every year since their first birthday (except their 3rd because we were in Oregon). All ten candles from the box have now been used.

Happy Birthday Dakota and Georgia. And take my word for it, you can skip the naked mole rats. Not one of Mother Nature's finest specimens.
What a great idea to use the same birthday candles every year. LOVE the baby giraffe, how cute!
