Road Trip!

Finally, pictures from our road trip to South Dakota with Mommy, Pops, Grams, Aunt Neller, and Lance (Aunt Neller's dog).

THURSDAY

We left Thursday morning on our trip. Here's Georgia being entertained by Aunt Neller.

Dakota, smiling at Mommy.

We stopped at a rest stop in Lusk, Wyoming to play on the swings. It's a tradition from when Mommy was little.

Both of us!

Mommy and Pops let us sit in the grass for a few minutes. That was a new experience for us since the yard at our house is dirt with an occasional weed. We weren't so sure about the prickly grass, so we would only put down one leg at a time.

Daddy's favorite picture from the trip.

In the pool with Aunt Neller and Mommy after arriving at the hotel. We've got some pretty spiffy lady bug floaties.

FRIDAY

Lunch with Don and Annita Mattson.

Mommy took the camera to the wedding reception we went to on Friday night, but didn't take any pictures.

SATURDAY

Saturday afternoon Mommy's friend Hollie, her daughter Julia and sister Caiti came to swim and play with us.

Here's Hollie with Georgia who appears to be eating the rosette on her bikini. (That's Caiti in the background.)

We had dinner that night with Mike and Eunice Howard. They've been friends of the family since Mommy was only a couple months old. Mike is the person who gave Mommy the nickname Turtle.

SUNDAY

Didn't take any pictures when we went to Mommy's old church on Sunday morning. After church we went to Barb and Mike Morgan's house for a BBQ. Mommy didn't pull out the camera until everyone else had left. So we only got our pictures taken with Barb and Mike.

We're including this picture simply for the look on Papa Mike's face. Everyone needs a picture like this of themselves on the internet.

Georgia and Barb. Georgia was trying to escape.

We got back to the hotel and Hollie and Julia came over again. Julia had left her towel in our room the day before. Mommy and Hollie weren't too upset that they had to see each other again.

We had pizza for dinner. Georgia was so serious about eating that night that she wrote a poem, "Ode to a Piece of Pizza". Here's she is reciting her poem. Unfortunately, she has since forgotten the words to the poem so we cannot post them for everyone to enjoy.

Mommy handed Dakota a piece of pizza with toppings on it (we usually just eat cheese) to see what she would do with it. She found the "spots" rather confounding, but finally decided to try and lick them off.

Here's Dakota playing Peek-a-boo with Grams and Aunt Neller. Georgia had no time for playing, there was pizza to be eaten.

MONDAY

Before getting on the road for home on Monday morning, we went to Colonial House for caramel rolls, a Mills Family favorite. Here we are trying Mommy's favorite caramel rolls for the first time.

Then it was home to Daddy!
